Thank you for taking the time to visit my PledgePage! I am very excited to be a part of this year's Buddy Walk.

The Walk is held each year by the Roxbury Parents Of Exceptional Children, better known as the PEC. Their mission is to help provide support to the parents of special needs children and to raise funds to provide recreational opportunites for exceptional students.

This is the year that the Buddy Walk has been held and to date over $ have been raised. Since the PEC is a registared non-profit, every dollar raised goes directly back into the community for the benifit of it's special needs children.

Another benifit of being a non-profit is that any donations made by individuals or Corporations are 100% tax deductable.

I am so committed to this cause because my own daughter Stephanie has special needs. She was diagnoised with a disability requiring her to become a classified student two years ago. Since that time my husdand Phil and I have struggled to cope with the emotional and financial demands that come along with having a child with a disability. The PEC is one of only a few places we can go to for support.

Please consider donating to the Buddy Walk in Stephanie's name. Your pledge will help ensure that the next time Phil ,Stephanie and I or another family reaches out to the PEC for support, it will be able to respond.
